European Course in Head and Neck Neuroradiology, 2nd Cycle Module 1

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to join the 2nd cycle of the European Course in Head and Neck Neuroradiology. The European course in Head and Neck Neuroradiology (ECHNR) is a comprehensive and advanced level III educational course for radiologists, neuroradiologists and clinical colleagues.

Registration is now open for module 1 that takes place as a live online course from November 3-5, 2021.

We welcome participants from all over the world.

“Always sit in the first rowto share the experience of a live online course with close interaction and an enjoyable way to expand knowledge by lectures and workshops.

Take advantage of particular attractive rates at early registration or ESNR membership.

Modules 1 and 2 of the first cycle proved to be a great success with more than 300 participants in each module. Evaluation scores of 95.2 satisfaction for course content and 94,6/100 for the course overall mirror the high degree of approval by attendees.

The ECHNR has been designed by the H&N subcommittee to cover Head & Neck imaging knowledge from basic to advanced in two modules of 3 days each with 31 lectures and 12 workshops in each module.

Module 2 (infrahyoid neck) is scheduled on May 26-28, 2022.

The course concept is:

  • to provide sound knowledge in imaging strategy by both morphological and by advanced techniques
  • to provide competence in image interpretation over a wide range of H&N pathologies including new entities
  • to offer close interaction with renown teachers and clinical experts during lectures and workshops by questions and polls.
  • to obtain a Diploma (provided by EBNR) in Head and Neck Neuroradiology following successful participation in the modular exam at the end of each module and by passing a final Diploma exam scheduled ahead of the ESNR annual meeting.

The course structure for Module 1 is:

  • Lectures and Workshops; covering the cranial nerves, skull base, nose and sinuses, orbit and sella, temporal bone, cerebello-pontine angle, jaw and teeth
  • Focus lectures; targeted on the suprahyoid spaces, advanced imaging and Meniere disease
  • Clinical lectures; -summarizing „what the radiologist should know and report“ from a clinical perspective.
  • Interactive diagnostic highlight sessions; discussion of imaging strategies in common and rare diseases between faculty and participants

The Course program is available here.

Attendance of both modules and successful standing of the exams (irrespective of sequence of the modules) qualifies radiologists/neuroradiologists to participate in a final “Diploma exam”. Successful contestants in the final exam will be entitled to receive the European Diploma in Head and Neck Neuroradiology.

I welcome you to join the new ECHNR Course on November 3-5, 2021
