from 27/05/2020 until 12/08/2020

Get ready for JPR 2020 Virtual Meeting! The event starts on May 27, on the JPR website

26 Lives and seven Plenary Sessions will be presented on the JPR website in two phases: from May 27 to June 24, and from July 27 to August 12. The Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Society of São Paulo (SPR) is all set for the start of the 50th São Paulo Radiological Meeting - Special Online Edition (Virtual JPR 2020). The event will have its first Plenary Session and Live Lecture next Wednesday, May 27, at 6:30 (BRT: Brazil Time; UTC-3), on the JPR 2020 website (www.jpr2020.org.br). On that occasion, the president of SPR, Dr. Mauro José Brandão da Costa, will open the event, followed by the president of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Dr. James Borgstede. Then, Dr. Renato Adam Mendonça, SPR’s Institutional Relations Director, will moderate the Session, welcoming Dr. Carolyn C. Meltzer, who is Science Liaison on the RSNA Board of Directors, Liaison to the RSNA COVID-19 Task Force and Chair of the Emory University Department of Radiology in Atlanta, Georgia. During her presentation, she will discuss the “Current State of COVID-19 and Diagnostic Imaging from the perspective of RSNA”.

After the launch on May 27, the program continues with the first phase of Lives and Plenary Sessions, ending on June 24. After almost a month, on July 27, the second programming phase of Virtual JPR 2020 resumes, which ends on August 12. The themes will be presented once a day, from Monday to Thursday, at 6:30 pm, and on Fridays, at 5 pm (BRT: Brazil Time; UTC-3). Please check the table below.

The complete schedule of Virtual JPR will be released on www.jpr2020.org.br.

It is essential to highlight that the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) maintains its partnership with SPR supporting the JPR 2020 Virtual Meeting. This support was decisive to enable the participation of 20 foreign teachers, previously confirmed in the on-site program. In addition to those guests, 11 other foreign professors will also participate in the program by recording classes remotely, all of them representatives of international medical societies with which SPR has an educational and scientific cooperation agreement: AIRP, ACR (Colombia), SAR (Argentina), and SOCHRADI (Chile).

The JPR 2020 Virtual Meeting has the vital support of Bayer, Canon, GE Healthcare and Mindray for this project. These sponsorships will undoubtedly contribute to the scientific update of resident doctors and radiologists from all over the country, in a year in which face-to-face events will not be possible, but in which quality knowledge remains essential.
