Interventional Neuroradiology Committee

Aim:

The subcommittee aims to enhance the neurointerventional activity in the body of ESNR and augment the representation of the European neurointerventional community within the Society. The ultimate goal is to promote excellence in neurointerventional practise for the best benefit of the patients and serve to develop the neurointerventional subspeciality.

In order to achieve its goals:

1.     The neurointerventional subcommitte will organize the interventional section of the ESNR annual meeting.

2.     It will organize and support the neurointerventional training courses on behalf of ESNR.

3.     It will collaborate with related societies in the World, Europe in particular, on the issues of neurointerventional training, practise and policy in regard to stroke and other relevant disease entities.

4.     Its’ major task will be to establish the ground of the UEMS endorsed neurointerventional diploma organization. UEMS has recently assigned the neurointerventional diploma privilege to EBNR. This is a unique opportunity to gather the neurointerventional community to create a break point in establishing a formal, structured  neurointerventional subspeciality.

5.     Following the establishment of the conditions, eligibility criteria and pre- requisites for the neurointerventional diploma of EBNR, the subcommittee will organize the necessary courses as indicated.
