ESNR launches the European Diploma of Higher Qualification in Pediatric Neuroradiology (EDIPNR)

ESNR is pleased to announce the European Diploma of Higher Qualification in Pediatric Neuroradiology (EDIPNR). EDIPNR is a new addition to the body of diplomas that ESNR is instituting with the aim to certify and to standardize the candidate’s competence in the field of Pediatric Neuroradiology across Europe like the European Diploma in Neuroradiology (EDINR). ESNR-endorsed qualification confirms proof of additional training in addition to any national qualifications. Nonetheless, the European Diploma in Pediatric Neuroradiology (EDIPNR) represents a standard of Pediatric Neuroradiology training across Europe through attendance at the Advanced European Courses in Pediatric Neuroradiology (AECPNR) and proof of understanding by passing the various components of the individual course examinations as well as of the final examination, objective high quality test of knowledge at the end of training and certificate of excellence.

Information about EDIPNR can be provided from the website of www.esnr.org

As the President of the European Society of Neuroradiology, and on behalf of the Executive Committee of the ESNR, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you in our rapidly growing society.

It is my great pleasure to announce that this year during the General Assembly in Edinburgh, the applications of 75 full, 111 junior and 57 associate members were approved, thereby increasing the membership of our society to a total of 1200 individual members. I am proud to announce that we have members not only from Europe but also from all over the world; from America to Asia, and Africa, including Chili, Brazil, Mexico, USA, Canada, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and many more countries.

Recently, Neuroradiological Societies and Sections of Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey joined the ESNR as Institutional Members. With those new intakes, ESNR now represents more than 4000 neuroradiologists all over the World.

ESNR supports International Day of Radiology

Let’s celebrate together …

This year, on November 8, the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR) will celebrate the first International Day of Radiology (IDoR 2012), along with radiological societies the world over. This initiative was established with the aim of building greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care, and improving understanding of the vital role radiologists play in the healthcare continuum.

Congratulations to the New “European Certification of Neuroradiology” Awarded Neuroradiologists

Congratulations to the New “European Certification of Neuroradiology” Awarded Neuroradiologists

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Neuroradiology, and European School of Neuroradiology I would like to warmly congratulate you for obtaining the European Certification of Neuroradiology on September 19, 2012 in Edinburgh.

We, definitely, recognize the tremendous effort you have spent  to follow the four weeks of specialized lectures and workshops in neuroradiology during the Pierre Lasjuanias European Course in Neuroradiology, which already included a multiple choice examination after each course.  During the Final Board Examination, not only you underwent a demanding written examination, but also you were challenged and strained with an oral examination where you were to satisfy a jury of world-renowned European specialists and mentors in Neuroradiology. This certainly proves that you are ready to practice neuroradiology at a high level in daily clinical work.

We believe that accomplishment of this certification will be a milestone in your long and successful career as a neuroradiologist and extend our best wishes for the continuity of your success in the future.

Prof. E. Turgut Tali
