AUDIT COMMITTEE

The role of the Audit committee is to ensure that the various committees of EBNR carry out their tasks according to the rules of EBNR. The audit committee is also an appeal board to which neuroradiologists can turn with questions concerning the activities of the EBNR.

1. Duties
The duties and responsibilities of the audit committee include:

  • Representing an independant appeal body for anyone being affected by the activities and decisions of the Board and its committees.

  • Supervising the activities of the Board and of the other EBNR committees, which have to be in line with the constitution, regulations and rules.

  • Reviewing the annual report of the treasurer.

  • Supervising the procedure of the European Board examinations to be held and evaluated in accordance with the Board requirements.

  • Performing audit procedures, not only when required by the Board, but also on its own initiative.

  • 2. Composition
    The committee should be composed of at least 5 members from different countries, elected by the EBNR for a period of 3 years.

    3. Independency
    In order to ensure the independency of each member and the integrity of the committee, members of the Board or of other committees cannot be members of the audit committee at the same time.
